Christmas in Leeds continued

It's been a busy, productive, amazing month. Christmas was upon us before we knew it. In the days before the holiday,  we had a lovely luncheon with the other senior couples in our mission, provided by our mission president and his wife, the Kerrs. We laughed and chatted and shared impressions of our mission so far and things that we loved or had surprised us. Stone fences (love), stone buildings (love) history everywhere (love) kind people (super love). Surprises included store background music (60's/70's soft rock) parking on the sidewalks and parking in any direction, on either side of the street. There seem to be few accidents, probably because everyone drives slowly out of necessity. The roads are narrow and winding and often bordered by stone fences.                                                                 ...

  Merry Christmas (and Happy New Year) everyone, I hope this finds you well and enjoying the holiday season. I'm playing a bit of catch up for a number of reasons - ineptitude being at the top of the list:) I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to begin a travel blog for several weeks. I had just about given up, but remembered Blogger from Kyle and Erin's missions, so here we go. I have been keeping a journal sporadically, and I have a multitude of photos to share so I'll try to give an overview - I apologize for the lack of brevity:) We entered the Provo MTC (Missionary training center) on October 27th for five days of intense training. Our little district consisted of four Senior missionary couples, all with varying family history assignments. Three of us are FamilySearch support (more about that later) going to Cambodia , Manchester England , and Leeds . the other couple is assigned to the FamilySearch center in Nauvoo .
